Diane Freeman, age 60, of Ridgeville Corners, passed away on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at the Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance.
She was born July 21, 1947 in Napoleon to the late Edgar E. and Marie C. (Kruse) Plassman. She married Robert T. Freeman on June 7, 1975, and he survives.
Diane worked as an inside sales representative for Arrow Tru-Line, Inc. of Archbold for over 10 years and worked in the cash office for Wal-Mart of Napoleon. She formerly worked for Napoleon Lynx of Archbold for over 15 years.
She was a 1965 graduate of Ridgeville High School, member of the 1st Ohio Volunteer Calvary Company C Civil War Reenactors, member of the Believer’s Church International of Defiance, and St. John Lutheran Church, Stryker, where she was in the church choir.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Ridgeville Corners; two daughters, Heather L. (Lonnie) Tompkins, Morenci, Mich., and Heidi K. Freeman, Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Jason B. Freeman, Marysville, and Jeremy B. Freeman of Columbus; one sister, Judi (William) Fortier of Ridgeville Corners; and a brother, Duane Plassman of rural Defiance; and three grandchildren, Trey, Drew, and Tia Tompkins.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Stryker, with the Rev. Dale Kern officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Snyder- Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Thursday from 6-8 pm and Friday from 2-8 pm. Friends may call on Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church building fund or the Defi- ance Inpatient Hospice Center.
