Delta Man Is Charged With Fifth DUI Oct. 20

Archbold Police have charged Anastasio Botello, 53, Delta, for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, his fifth arrest on the same charge, Thom Ross, Archbold Police assistant chief, said.

Ross said about 9:58 pm Saturday, Oct. 20, Fulton County Sheriff Department dispatchers notified APD officers that other motorists were reporting a pickup truck entering Archbold from the west, that was driving recklessly.

The pickup pulled into the Grisier Funeral Home parking lot, where officers confronted the driver, identified as Botello, and passenger, Carl A. Dauwalter, 50, Delta.

Officers cited Botello for DUI, plus charges of driving on a suspended license, failure to reinstate his driver license, and for reckless operation.

Dauwalter was charged with consuming alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, and disorderly conduct.

Both were taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
