David Zuver

David L. Zuver, 58 years, of Archbold and formerly of West Unity, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Emergency Room as the result of a boating accident.

David was born March 28, 1957, in Montpelier, the son of LeRoy and Edna “Susie” (Schmitt) Zuver.

He was a 1975 graduate of Hilltop High School and attended Four County Career Center, where he studied auto body.

He married Cheryl Kay (Pfund) Richards on Aug. 10, 2013, in Archbold.

David was employed by Sauder Woodworking for the past 38 years. He was a member of the Archbold United Methodist Church.

David was also a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233, OHSAA baseball and softball and the Harley’s Owner’s Group, HOG. David was an avid Harley motorcycle rider. He also found great enjoyment umpiring high school baseball and softball.

If he was not enjoying one of his hobbies he was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife, Cheri; four children, Crystal (Dustin) Blevins of Stryker, Nathan (Emily) Zuver of Marysville, Benjamin Richards of Hudson, Mich., and Renee Wayer of Hillsdale, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Kalista Blevins, Mallori Blevins, Averey Blevins, Hunter Stevens, Gunner Zuver, Emily Wayer and Phillip Wayer; mother, Edna “ Susie” Zuver of West Unity; father, LeRoy Zuver of San Antonio, Texas; seven siblings, Debra (Jerry) Nelson of West Unity, Diane (Dave) Barnum of Stryker, Daniel (Lisa) Zuver of West Unity, Dena (Terry) Filip of West Unity, Dawn (Ed) Bakle of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Duane (Cassy) Zuver of Lagrange, Ind., and Denise Zuver of West Unity; and a half-sister, Lora Zuver of San Antonio, Texas.

Visitation for David L. Zuver will be held Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Archbold United Methodist Church, 401 Ditto Street, Archbold, Ohio 43502.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Pastor Jim Nathan officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity. A luncheon will be held at Living Hope Free Methodist Church, 1051 West Jackson Street, West Unity, Ohio 43570.

In memory of David, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
