Darlene L. Holsinger, age 84 years, of Archbold, passed away early Saturday morning, July 26, 2014, at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.
She was born Feb. 25, 1930 at Beaver Falls, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Yoho) Stevens.
She married Rev. Donald Holsinger on Sept. 7, 1951, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2006.
A resident of the Archbold area many years, she was a homemaker. She had a card ministry and enjoyed reading and sewing.
She was a member of Bryan Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by four children, Donald (Kathy) Holsinger of Archbold, Melvin (Tracy) Holsinger of Tucson, Ariz., Robert (Debbie) Holsinger of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dr. Gaylene (Chris) Carpenter of High Point, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and one greatgreat grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, and two sisters.
Services were held yesterday, Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m., at Fairlawn Chapel with Pastors Roger Blough and Michael Dunson officiating. Interment followed in the Archbold Cemetery.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
