Dale D. Schrock, age 83 years, of Archbold, passed away Saturday morning, March 23, 2013, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon.
He was born Feb. 17, 1930, near Wauseon, the son of Cletus and Phoebe (Stuckey) Schrock.
He married Florence Stoltzfus on March 25, 1956, and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2012.
A resident of Pettisville many years, he moved to Archbold in 2007. He was a supervisor at Sauder Woodworking Company for 38 years before retiring in 1995.
He was a lifelong woodworker and enjoyed helping others with their creative projects.
He was a member of the West Clinton Mennonite Church near Pettisville, where he enjoyed serving the church as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
He is survived by three children, Marlin Schrock of Fairfax, Va., Dallas (Denice) Schrock of Archbold, and Joy Lerma of Wauseon; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Ray (Alice) Schrock of Archbold, James (Susie) Schrock of Pettisville, and John (Marcia) Yoder Schrock of Donnellson, Iowa; two sisters, Rosetta (Ken) Gorsuch of Wauseon, and MableAnn (Roger) Crossgrove of Archbold.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother, Wayne; and an infant sister, Alice.
Memorial services will be held today, Wednesday, at 4 p.m. at the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Revs. Jesse and Naomi Engle officiating. Interment will precede at 3 p.m. in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
