Two cases involving fraud and credit cards were reported to Archbold police on Friday, Feb. 12.
Michael R. Meffe, 37, Archbold, told police sometime on Tuesday, Jan. 27, someone had used his credit card number to purchase goods in Lansing, Mich. Total value of items purchased was about $100.
Richard Thatcher, 52, Archbold, told police that on Friday, Feb. 12, between 4:16 and 4:21 pm, a possible fraud had been committed involving stolen credit card information.
The money was returned to the victim by a financial institution.
Police marked the Meffe case closed. The Thatcher case is under investigation.
