The Fulton County Sheriff Department released reports on two vehicle crashes that occurred on Thursday, July 22, and Sunday, July 25.
Alejandra Gabrielle Oberhaus, 29, rural Wauseon, was driving a pickup truck west on St. Rt. 2 about 6:23 pm on Thursday, July 22, when, about six-tenths (.6) of a mile east of the Co. Rd. 22 intersection, she crossed the center line.
The report states the vehicle went into the eastbound lane, then into the ditch on the south side of the roadway. It struck a telephone junction box and continued into a cornfield. The vehicle exited the cornfield and struck a tree in the lawn at Central Mennonite Church.
Archbold Rescue and ALS- 1, the Archbold-based paramedic unit, responded to the scene, but did not transport Oberhaus.
Kennedy Mae Coolman, 17, Fayette, was driving a car west on US20 about 12:13 am, Sunday, July 25, when she struck water that was over the roadway about four-tenths (.4) of a mile west of Co. Rd. 22.
The car hydroplaned and went off the north side of the road before sinking and coming to rest underwater. Coolman was not injured.
