A crash involving a heavy truck occurred at the intersection of St. Rt. 34 and Henry County Rd. 24 at 9:59 am, Friday, April 21.
It’s the second crash involving at least one heavy truck in three weeks.
The Henry County sheriff report states a heavy truck, towing a trailer, was traveling east on St. Rt. 34.
The truck was driven by Carl D. Grandey, 63, rural Stryker, and is owned by Farmers Exchange Company, Inc., Stryker.
A sport-utility vehicle, driven by David B. Olson, 66, Bryan, was traveling south on Henry Co. Rd. 24. Olson was towing a trailer.
The report states Olson stopped at the stop sign, then drove into the intersection, where the two vehicles collided. Both came to rest in a field on the southeast corner of the intersection.
Olson was taken by Ridgeville Rescue to the Defi- ance Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released. No citations were issued.
