In an article about a vehicle pedestrian mishap in last week’s issue of this newspaper, there was an error.

The story should have said that Scott Phillip Hayes, 39, Toledo, the pedestrian, was not charged with a crime, but the Fulton County Sheriff Department report indicates Hayes had a blood-alcohol content, or BAC, of .128.

By way of comparison, Ohio law considers a person with a BAC of .08 too intoxicated to operate a vehicle.

The Buckeye regrets the error.
