Rick Yoder, Fulton County coroner, said Monday he is investigating two recent deaths that occurred in the area.
An Archbold police report states officers were called to apartments at 700 West Barre Road about 7:18 pm, Thursday, March 7, on a report of an unresponsive subject.
The report states that when officers arrived, “we found that the subject had been deceased for quite some time.”
The subject was identified as Joshua D. Liechty, 37, who lived in the complex.
Archbold Rescue transported Liechty’s body to the morgue at the Fulton County Health Center.
Yoder is also investigating the death of Mark DeWayne Shadbolt, 46, Wauseon, who died when he was struck by a semi about 10:19 am, Tuesday, Feb. 26.
The Fulton County sheriff report states Shadbolt was on the north side of US20A, near Tractor Supply in the 14000 block of US20A on the north side of Wauseon, standing near a vehicle pulled off the roadway.
The report states Shadbolt walked south onto the roadway, where he was struck.
Wauseon Rescue transported Shadbolt to FCHC, where he was pronounced dead.
Yoder said when the investigation is complete, he will issue rulings in each incident.
