The following organizations have announced changes, postponements, or cancellations in connection with the threat of the Coronavirus. Check this space for updates.

National Alliance on Mental Illness, Four County chapter: Support groups cancelled; April 7 and May 5 meetings cancelled.

Defiance College: Classes held online for rest of spring semester; commencement postponed. All other regularly scheduled, in-person events canceled. Spring athletic events canceled. Nearly all campus buildings are closed to the public.

Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation: Deferring employer payments for March, April, May until June 1.

Adult Day Services for adults with developmental disabilities: Closed with the exception of settings or 10 people or less.

Archbold Parks’ Kiddie Korrals: Closed until further notice.

All senior centers & senior daycare centers: Closed.

Farmers & Merchants State Bank: All lobbies suspended for walk-in transactions. If you need to schedule an appointment to open a new account, apply for a loan or access your safe deposit box, call 800.451.7843. Drive thru banking remains available. **Added 3.19

Fulton County Offices: Offices are open but doors are closed to the public as of noon, Thursday, March 19; no lobby or counter access available. Contact county officials by phone or email.

Archbold Municipal Building: Closed to public access. Utility customers & taxpayers may drop off tax returns/payments using the drop box in the lobby.

Triangular Processing recycling center, Wauseon, closed until further notice.

Huntington Bank, Archbold: Lobby closed; 3 drive-up lanes are open.

Wyse Commons Pool, Exercise Room, Walking Track, & Gathering Space: Closed until further notice.

Care & Share Clothing & Home, and Ten Thousand Villages: Closed until further notice.

All Ohio k-12 schools: closed until at last April 3, by orders of Mike DeWine, governor. The closures do not include child care facilities.

Archbold Area Schools: Closed until at least Monday, April 6. All school practices, events, and activities are cancelled until further notice.

Pettisville Schools: Closed. Students in grades 4-12: online learning using school-issued laptop computers. Grades K-3: school activities packets  similar to “blizzard bags.” No student activities.

Daycare facilities: During Gov. DeWine’s Friday afternoon, March 13 press conference, he announced that daycare facilities are not ordered closed at this point, but people need to start thinking of alternatives. His recommendation is for parents to remove their child from daycare if it’s feasible.

All gatherings of more than 50 people: recommended by CDC. President Trump is suggesting no more than 10 people. DOES NOT include grocery stores, forms of transit, athletic events that exclude spectators, weddings, funerals, or religious gatherings.

Imagination Station in Toledo: Closed through March 31.

St. Peter Catholic Church & Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Fayette: All masses, ceremonies & programs cancelled until after Easter; all are dispensed from mass until after Easter. Confessions held every Saturday from 4-4:30 pm; always go behind the curtain.

Archbold Evangelical Church: All kids and student activities and classes are cancelled until Archbold Area Schools resumes. Playland and the Gym are closed until school resumes. The Walking Path is open from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.

Archbold Community Library: Closed until Monday, April 6. Reasonable attempts will be made to maintain the book drop. In accordance with the library pandemic plan, due dates will be adjusted so no overdue charges are assessed and holds will not expire during the time the library is closed.**NEW**

Pettisville High School play planned for April 2-5: postponed.

OHSAA Tournaments: All remaining winter tournaments are cancelled.

Fairlawn Haven Care Center: No visitors allowed at this time; all contact, including bringing items for loved ones such as laundry, will be done through the main entrance; employees enter through one entrance and are screened as they come in.

Fairlawn Haven: Fairlawn Auxiliary Auction, originally scheduled for Thurs.-Fri., April 2-3, is postponed to Thurs.-Fri., Oct. 29-30.

Fulton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center: No visitors at this time unless absolutely necessary.

Northwest State Community College: Classes conducted by remote delivery only; courses that can’t be conducted remotely will have alternate plans; Offsite learning continues.

Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio: Lobby visits with inmates no longer available, visits to be done electronically; public tours cancelled; No volunteers to enter CCNO for programming, including religious services; 2020 volunteer orientation and banquet cancelled; Community Public Works, Helping Inmates Through Training programs suspended; professional visitors strongly encouraged to use video systems; transportation in and out of facility limited.
