Tyrone Hutchinson, 32, Toledo, was convicted of a single count of theft in a jury trial held in Fulton County Common Pleas Court.
The jury of five men and seven women found Hutchinson not guilty on charges of breaking and entering and possessing criminal tools.
The trial started Wednesday, May 15. After three hours of deliberation, the jury returned its verdict the afternoon of May 16.
James Barber, Fulton County Common Pleas Court judge, has ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
In the meantime, Hutchinson was taken into custody and is being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
On or about Aug. 29, 2011, Hutchinson trespassed into an unoccupied structure and stole cigarettes valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500.
