Computer Part Stolen From Plant

A representative of Sauder Woodworking told police a specialized piece of computer equipment valued at $250 was stolen from a computer.

However, the joke is on the thief. Without a special access code, the part cannot be used. It is essentially worthless.

The Archbold Police report states the part is a card that plugs into a computer’s central processing unit. It is used in taking measurements. Removing the card leaves the computer useless. It was taken sometime between 10:45 pm, Thursday, May 22, and 2:30 pm, Friday, May 23.

The card was taken from the company’s West Barre Road plant.
