Republicans say things will get better if we elect a Republican president.
Democrats say things will get better if we keep the current Democratic president and elect more Democratic congressmen.
Our opinion? Nothing will get better until those in the federal government learn to compromise.
The “my way or the highway” approach that too many elected offi cials believe in is paralyzing our government. Nothing is getting accomplished. Our economy is stagnant because businesses and industries don’t trust that government officials will do what’s right for the country… just what’s right for getting themselves reelected.
Until Congress and the White House get their acts together and give the country confidence in their leadership, nothing will get done, the economy will continue to falter, and fingers will point at each other in blame.
Why is it any different if you’re an elected official?
