Clara Beck, PHS 14 and daughter of Duane and Deana, and Adrienne Schmucker, PHS ‘12 and daughter of Doug and Mara Belle, is participating in the Goshen (Ind.) College Theater Department performance of “Julius Caesar.”

Theater students have transformed the Umble Center into a “theater in the round,” meaning that the audience is seated on all sides of the stage.

Shakespeare’s famous tragedy engages the audience in the story of patriotism and power; jealousy and betrayal; twists of friendship; warnings unheeded; and the mob mentality of citizens whose loyalty is easily swayed.

Beck is a sophomore music major, while Schmucker is a senior theater major.

Carley Wyse, AHS ‘12, and a senior at Goshen (Ind.) College, helped produce a digital advertising campaign that received a bronze ADDY award in February from the American Advertising Federation of Michiana.

The award was in the online film, video and sound campaign category.

The six-video campaign promotes programs at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College, focusing on its Master of Arts in Environmental Education and its two undergraduate programs, Sustainability Leadership Semester and Agroecology Summer Intensive.

Wyse is the daughter of Mike and Julia.
