Trisha King, AHS ‘11 and a sophomore at Trine University, Angola, Ind., was a winner in three events at the Defiance College Track and Field Open, Friday, Feb. 8.
The TU women’s team won six of the seven races it entered.
She set a facility record in the 600-meter race in one minute, 40.52 seconds, winning by more than six seconds.
King also won the 200 in 27.49 seconds.
She was on the winning 4×400-meter relay team that took home the top spot with a time of 4:14.72, a full seven seconds ahead of second place.
King is the daughter of Pete and Luana.
Lincoln Frey, PHS ‘10 and a junior at TU, picked up a win in the pole vault in the men’s meet, clearing a height of 3.95 meters.
He is the son of Carol and the late Jack Frey.
The Trine men’s team won four events.
