Collegiate Connection

Jennifer Lindsay, AHS ‘11, is a member of the Social Work Club and women’s club rugby at Ashland University.

A social work major, she is the daughter of Jon and Janette, Archbold.

The purpose of the Social Work Club is to provide students with programs and experiences as an added dimension to the classroom.

Programs include Skip-a- Meal Today for United Way, an annual party for graduating seniors, attending the Ohio Conference of Social Work Educators, field trips and an ethnic potluck dinner.

Competitive sport clubs like women’s club rugby compete with other university or town sponsored sport clubs, or teams, and travel to different events/games throughout the year.

Competitive sport clubs are more serious in nature, similar to varsity athletics, and may involve playoff components to conclude their season.
