Hailey Galvan, AHS ‘10, returned to action after missing five games when Owens Community College defeated Columbus State Community College 94-55, Saturday, Jan. 7.

Galvan, the nation’s top shot blocker, had seven blocks to push her season total to 76 in 12 games played. She added two points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

With 14 guaranteed team games remaining, the sophomore center sits 52 blocks short of the single-season block record and 70 blocks short of the career record.

The Express (14-3, 1-0 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference) are ranked 12th in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II poll.

Galvan is the daughter of Roel and Dana.
