Fulton County residents who vote in the Republican primary election on Tuesday, May 4, will have decisions to make for the Fulton County Commissioners, Fulton County Clerk of Courts, and the 74th District of the Ohio House of Representatives.
On the GOP side, Paul E. MacDonald, Wauseon, faces James M. Parker, Wauseon, for the Clerk of Courts post.
The pair is facing off to fill the unexpired term of Mary Gype, who retired.
No Democrats have filed for the position.
Bruce Goodwin, Defiance incumbent state representative, faces a GOP primary challenge from Jim J. Volkert, of Hicksville. In the fall, the winner of the primary race faces David J. Pilliod, the lone Democratic Party candidate.
Candidates who face opposition in the primary election were mailed candidate questionnaires. Candidates for the commissioner post will be profiled next week.
