Archbold Police are investigating the theft of a cell phone from an apartment in East Gardens.
Thom Ross, Archbold Police assistant chief, said Brittany Robbins, East Gardens resident, said she and a friend left the apartment about 7:20 pm, Wednesday, May 7.
When they returned at 10:50 pm, they found the door ajar. Robbins said she was sure the door was locked when she left.
The phone, valued at $50, was the only item missing; nothing else was disturbed.
Ross said officers have a “person of interest” in the case, but have not had an opportunity to interview them.
