Archbold, OH

Car Stopped After Report Of Suspicious Activities

Juveniles– occupants of a vehicle observed acting suspiciously– were issued a warning and their parents were notified as a result of incidents reported, Friday, March 8.

The first Archbold police report was filed at 10:34 pm, when Douglas P. Hubby, 54, rural Archbold, told police he had, in his own vehicle, chased a green or gray car into the village from his home. He told officers he had lost sight of the vehicle inside the village limits.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the auto.

Then, at 11:24 pm, Fulton County sheriff dispatchers told Archbold officers a gray car matching the same description was being followed into town by Hubby.

The report states the car had been one of two vehicles that stopped at the residence. One vehicle was parked in the driveway with headlights off.

Subjects got out of their vehicles and walked around Hubby’s residence.

The officer wrote the gray car was reported to be stopped on Lafayette Street. He found the vehicle, and stopped it on South Pleasant Street.

The officer questioned the occupants. FCSD deputies then arrived on scene and questioned the occupants before they were released.
