A car driven by Carolyn L. Farman, 59, Archbold, caught fire about 5:13 pm, Saturday, May 26, an Archbold police report states.
Farman told police she was driving south on South Defiance Street when she noticed smoke coming from the air conditioner vents.
She pulled into the parking lot of the office of Sterling King, on the corner of Burke and South Defiance Street, and got out of the car.
When an officer arrived, flames were showing. He used his fire extinguisher to put them out.
Archbold firefighters arrived and disconnected the battery.
