Bryan ran away from the rest of the pack to win the boys and girls titles at the Archbold Cross Country Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 8.
The Golden Bear boys team won with 53 points. Ida, Mich., was second with 77, and Archbold was third with 85. Fifteen teams competed.
The Bryan girls team was victorious with 42 points. Blissfield, Mich., was second with 77, and Ida, Mich., was third with 78. The Blue Streak girls finished fourth with 95. Nine teams competed.
Bryan’s Jacob Will won the race in 17 minutes, 30 seconds.
Alex Hurst was the first Blue Streak to cross the finish line. He placed fifth in 17:57.
Bryce Tinsman was ninth in 18:17, and Matt Kinsman was 20th in 18:59. Zeb Frank finished 24th in 19:14. Nathan Wachtmann was Archbold’s final scoring runner, placing 34th in 19:54.

Ida’s Jamie Rose won in 21:42.
Tressa Parsley was the first Archbold runner to finish. She placed 14th in 23:23.
Ellie Sonnenberg and Taylor DeWolfe finished back to back. Sonnenberg was 17th in 23:28, and DeWolfe was 18th in 23:30. Mara Beck was 20th in 23:35.
Jensyn Garrow finished the scoring runners for AHS, running 31st in 24:24.
