Aaron S. Brown, 32, Archbold, was sentenced to 29 days in jail and placed on two years of community control, after pleading guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition.
In a press release, Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said between Feb. 8, 2009 and Oct. 23, 2011, Brown had sexual contact with two young girls.
Archbold police were made aware of the case on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, when police reports indicate offi- cers were told of “a possible gross sexual imposition that occurred on Dec. 10” in Archbold.
The Fulton County Grand Jury indicted Brown on Dec. 19, 2011. He turned himself in to Archbold police on Dec. 21. He was released on his own recognizance the following day.
Under the sentence handed down by James Barber, Fulton County Common Pleas Court judge, Brown is ordered to report to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio on Monday, June 11, to begin his 29-day jail sentence.
He was granted work release privileges.
In addition, he was placed on community control for two years, and ordered to pay the cost of his prosecution and the attorney fees.
He was ordered to successfully complete sex offender treatment at the Center for Child & Family Advocacy in Napoleon. He also was ordered to complete his general education diploma (GED), have no contact with the victims unless their mother is present, not to possess or view pornographic material, stay out of bars and/or taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol, and have no unsupervised contact with minors.
He also was classified a Tier I sexual offender. He must register his address with the sheriff of the county in which he resides annually.
If Brown fails to comply with the terms of his sentence, he could face 17 months in prison.
