No one would have blamed Brock Mealer if he decided to spend the rest of his life sitting down.
He suffered a spinal injury in a 2007 Christmas Eve car crash, and was told he would never walk again.
But Mealer, now 25, said no. With the help of his faith in God, he summoned the courage, will, and determination to put in endless hours of therapy and exercise. He struggled to teach himself how to walk.
And he did it before more than 100,000 people at the University of Michigan football stadium, using canes to walk across the field on his own two feet.
Relying on his faith, he decided not to take life sitting down; he’s getting up and going places.
Along the way, he has become an inspiration to us all.
