Skylar Sommers, 17, rural Fayette, was treated and discharged from the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, following a car-truck accident on St. Rt. 66 about 4:05 pm, Friday, April 15.
The Fulton County Sheriff Department report on the crash states Sommers was driving a car north while a truck driven by Oenema Wietze Douwe, 28, New Bavaria, owned by Buckeye Applications, LLC, Continental, was traveling south on the highway.
The FCSD report states the Sommers car went left of center and they collided at a point about a half-mile north of Co. Rd. K.
The truck went off the west side of the highway and overturned. Douwe was not injured.
Sommers was taken from the crash scene by helicopter ambulance. He was treated and discharged the same day.
Sommers was cited for driving left of center.
A crash occurred at the intersection of Co. Rds. C and 18 about 8:18 am, Thursday, April 21.
The FCSD report states a pickup truck driven by Kayla Johann King, 18, rural Wauseon, with passengers Eli Lawrence King, 14, and Alexis Renee King, 16, same address, was traveling north on Co. Rd. 18 and stopped for the stop sign at the intersection of Co. Rds. 18 and C.
The truck then drove into the intersection, then stopped partially in the intersection, causing a westbound sport-utility vehicle, driven by Michelle Sue Day, 45, rural Wauseon, to swerve to avoid a collision, driving off the north side of the road into a field. The Day auto struck a sign, telephone junction box, and gas line marker.
No injuries. King was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
Christopher Royal, 28, rural Sryker, was driving a car west on Co. Rd. E about 5:57 am, Thursday, April 21, when he hit a deer, about three-tenths of a mile west of Co. Rd. 26. No injury.
