Body Found In Harrison Lake – updated




Update

Eric Heis, public information officer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, identified the body found in Harrison Lake as that of Steven Moden, Jr., 38, of Fayette.

Heis said Moden’s body was pulled from the Harrison Lake shoreline just before 1 pm Thursday, May 25. 

A spokesman for the Lucas County Coroner office said an autopsy has been completed, but results were not available Thursday.

Heis said an investigation into Moden’s death is underway.

Stephanie Leis, a spokesman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, said late Wednesday afternoon, May 25, the body of a male subject was discovered at Harrison Lake State Park that morning.

Andy Brodbeck, Archbold Fire Department chief, said AFD water rescue units were called to Harrison Lake to help remove the body from the water. Also at the scene were Fayette Rescue crews, ODRC park rangers, and Fulton County Sheriff Department deputies.

Leis said, “Investigators are attempting to identify the individual, and the coroner will identify the cause of death.”
