U-14 Girls

The Archbold U14 girls soccer team opened its fall season at Wauseon, Monday, Sept. 15. The Streaks came out strong, with Becca Gerig scoring two goals in the first half. Wauseon scored in the second half but the Streaks held on for a 2-1 win. Amanda Lovejoy and Meggie Yoder were strong in the goal.

The team traveled to Bryan, Saturday, Sept. 20. In a close game, Archbold held on to win 3-2. Gerig scored twice; Lauren Kindinger scored one goal.

The Streaks played their first home game, hosting Port Clinton, Sunday, Sept. 21. The game was dominated by Archbold, as it had many shots on goal to win 7-0. Scoring were Kindinger, three; Cassidy Wyse, two; Krista Leupp and Gerig, one each.

Great defense has been shown by Kassidy Garrow, Wyse, Bree Deskins, Ella Weaver and Yoder. The offense has shown great team play by Alora Drewes, Olivia Deskins, Jesse Fidler, Blanca Calderon and Marli Fryman.

The Streaks are coached by Vaughn Bentz and Skip Leupp.
