“I am very pleased with the boys’ performance at the league meet,” said Dina Gladieux, AHS head coach.

“We tend to focus on Danny (Young), and he deserves it, but high points for me were when Lincoln Parsley finished second in the 300m hurdles, and when Hayden Stamm was able to hold on to that first-place finish in the 400.

“Levi Wyse competed well for the first time at the league meet, as did senior Blake Drewes, who was also a first-timer.

“Throughout the season we have focused on ‘team,’ so I have a hard time only mentioning a few of the boys. Each one of their efforts helped earn this 2012 NWOAL league title. From the distance runners (Adrian Ramirez and Alex Hurst) to the sprinters to the field events, they all contributed.

“For the seniors this was their fourth NWOAL title. I am very proud of all of their efforts.”
