Blizzard Preparation







Archbold Street Department workers were busy removing piles of snow from the historic downtown district Tuesday morning, Feb. 1. Jason Martz, village superintendent of streets, said snow began falling Monday night around 11 pm. All seven street department employees were on the job at 2:30 am. By 3 am, the snow had stopped, and by 9:30 am, streets were clear. Crews were planning to get some rest and get ready for the blizzard coming Wednesday afternoon, with as much as 18 inches of snow predicted to fall.– photo by David Pugh
