Birds Sweep Tri-Meet With Archbold, Evergreen

The Pettisville cross country teams swept a tri-meet with Archbold and Evergreen in hot, humid weather at the Archbold reservoir, Tuesday, Aug. 27.

The Birds won the meet both individually and as teams.

In the boys meet, PHS scored 24 points to win. Archbold was second with 31, and the Vikings finished with 85.

Pettisville’s Dominic Frey won the race in 18 minutes, 31 seconds.

Logan Garrow was the first Blue Streak to finish. He placed 2nd in 18:39, eight seconds behind Frey.

PHS won the girls meet with 27 points. The Vikings had 48.

Archbold did not have enough runners to score as a team.

Pettisville’s Alexa Leppelmeier won the girls race in 22:33.

Taylor DeWolfe was the first Blue Streak to finish. She placed third in 25:17.
