The Pettisville softball team defeated Stryker and Fayette but fell to Patrick Henry and Archbold last week.
The Birds scored four runs in the final two innings to give them a 9-4 victory at Stryker, Monday, April 14.
The Patriots used four runs in the fourth for an 8-3 home victory, Tuesday, April 15.
Jordan Riegsecker threw a no-hitter and shutout and the Pettisville bats had nine hits for a 10-0 blanking of Fayette, Thursday, April 17.
Archbold had a 4-0 lead after two innings and scored seven runs in the sixth on its way to a 14-3 victory at PHS, Friday, April 18.
The Birds are 3-5, 2-0 in the Buckeye Border Conference.
PHS 9, Stryker 4
The Birds took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and expanded it to 5-0 with four runs in the fourth. The Panthers (0-4, 0-1 BBC) scored individual runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth to close the gap to 5-2.
PHS took a 7-2 lead in the sixth with two runs. Both teams scored two runs in the seventh for the 9-4 final.
Jordan Riegsecker was the winning pitcher. She threw four strikeouts and walked four. Sullivan was the losing pitcher.
Pettisville scored nine runs on 16 hits and had four errors. Karina Rohrer-Meck was 5/5 at the plate with two doubles and a run batted in. Drew Lantz was 3/5 with a double, triple, and 2 RBIs. Katie Weber was 3/5 with a triple, 3 RBIs, and a stolen base.
PHHS 8, PHS 3
The Patriots took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Pettisville scored one in the second for a 2-1 deficit. Both teams scored two in the third for a 4-3 game, but PHHS took control in the fourth with four runs. That finished the game’s scoring for an 8-3 final.
Lantz (0-2) was the losing pitcher. Moll was the winning pitcher.
Lantz was 2/3 at the plate with a triple, RBI, and a stolen base. Lauren Bontrager hit a double and had a stolen base.
PHS 10, Fayette 0
The Birds took a 1-0 lead in the first and made it 3-0 after three. Pettisville run-ruled Fayette (3-1, 1-1 BBC) in the bottom of the sixth after scoring seven runs.
Riegsecker threw 11 strikeouts and allowed zero hits. S. Nuoffer was the losing pitcher.
K. Weber was 2/4 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Riegsecker was 2/3 and Brittany Weber was 2/2 with 1 RBI.
Archbold 14, PHS 3
After the Streaks took a 4-0 lead the Birds came back and scored three runs in the third. Archbold scored once more in the fourth for a 5-3 lead before exploding for nine runs in the sixth and seventh innings for the 14-3 final.
Riegsecker (3-3) was the losing pitcher; Lauren Kern, the winning pitcher.
Archbold scored 14 runs on 18 hits. Dani Newman led AHS at the plate. She was 4-4 with a triple, home run, and 2 RBIs.
Erica King was 2-4 at the plate for PHS, including a home run and 3 RBIs.
