Bird Baseball Splits Pair Of BBC Games

Pettisville split a pair of Buckeye Border Conference games Last week, losing to Edon but defeating North Central.

The Birds stand 2-5, 2-2 BBC.

Edon 10, PHS 0

Pettisville traveled to Edon, Monday, April 18. The Bombers dropped the bomb on the Blackbirds 10-0.

The Birds mustered only two hits, singles by Logan Rufenacht and Christian Barhite, while Edon had 10.

Barhite suffered the loss, giving up eight runs on six hits, striking out four, and walking six.

PHS 12, NC 1

Pettisville picked up its second win of the season with a 12-1 drubbing at North Central, Tuesday, April 19.

With the Eagles leading 1- 0 after two, the Birds exploded for 11 runs in the third and added one in the fifth.

Landon Roth recorded the win, giving up one run on one hit, striking out 11, and walking four.

Roth went 2-3 at the plate while Barhite went 2-4 with a double and four runs batted in. Austin Horning added a single and two RBIs.
