Bentley, Seibert Appointed To Library Board

The Archbold School Board appointed two new members to the Archbold Library Board at its Monday, Jan. 14 meeting.

Named were Andrew (Andy) S. Bentley and Kevin J. Seibert.

Both were named to seven year terms, effective Jan. 1.

Two Archbold High School students were approved for early graduation at the meeting.

Maddie Rose and Hannah Rabe each met all graduation requirements, effective Jan. 11.

In personnel-related items, the board approved an increase in the hourly rate paid to student workers and casual laborers in connection with the increase in the Ohio minimum wage.

For those in their first year of service, the rate increased to $8.55 per hour.

In the second year, the rate increases to $8.70. For workers in their third year, the rate is $8.85.

The new rates were made effective Jan. 1.

One-year supplemental contracts for Jon Fether and Chris Moore were approved as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Club advisors for the current school year.

Fether was also granted a one-year supplemental contract as director of intramural sports for 2018-19.

The board also recognized Sydney Ranzau as a volunteer spring track coach and indoor track coach for 2018- 19.

The next meeting is Monday, Feb. 11, 5 pm, in the high school media center.
