Archbold police located a truck that damaged an awning at the Archbold Dairy Queen about 5:30 pm, Saturday, March 30, a police report states.
The incident was reported to police, Wednesday, April 3. An officer was told the subject driving the truck had given the store manager his phone number, but did not provide insurance information or a license plate number.
The officer located the truck. Damage to the vehicle matched damage to the awning.
After locating the truck driver, the driver said because the vehicle had made it under the clearance bar in the drive-thru, it was not his fault the vehicle struck the awning. The driver added he would contact the restaurant manager.
The police investigation is still pending.
