Automobile Strikes Two Headstones

Silvester Rodriguez III, 46, Archbold, was cited for failure to control a motor vehicle after the minivan he was driving struck two headstones in the St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.

The Fulton County Sheriff Department report on the incident states Rodriguez was driving west on St. Rt. 2 about 8:10 pm, Thursday, Nov. 15, and was turning left, or south, onto Co. Rd. 22.

His vehicle went out of control, drove off the southwest corner of the roadway and into the cemetery, striking the headstones. He was not injured.

Joel Knapp, 35, Lake Villa, Ill., was driving a car north on Co. Rd. 25 about 8:10 am the same day when his vehicle collided with a deer.

The FCSD report said the accident occurred about fourtenths (.4) of a mile north of Co. Rd. E.

Ray M. Koch, 82, Bryan, was driving a car east on US20A about 10:04 pm that day, when the auto collided with a deer.

The FCSD report placed the location of the crash about twotenths (.2) of a mile west of Co. Rd. 20.
