Aurora L. Leyva
Aurora L. Leyva, age 75, of Archbold, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at The Lutheran Home in Napoleon.
Prior to her retirement she had worked at Fulton Industries in Wauseon for over 20 years.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Marcos and the late Jacinta (Sandoval) Lopez. On Dec. 2, 1950 she married Emilio Leyva, and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon.
She is survived by her three daughters, Irma (Ron) Egler of Stryker, Margie Young of Archbold, and Amy (Todd) Rice of Wauseon; two sons, Ricardo Leyva of Archbold, and Dan (Delia) Leyva of Archbold; eight grandchildren, Maxine Leyva, Stephanie White, Brandy Leyva, Alexi Pflager, Gabby Leyva, Daniella Leyva, Ava Rice, and Jacob Leyva; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death besides her husband, Emilio, was one son, Robert Levya; two granddaughters, Haley Rice and Crystal Leyva; great-granddaughter Arianna Alvarado ; and two sisters, Tina Ruiz and Mary Alejos.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at St. Caspar Catholic Church, with Rev. Edward Schleter, officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Caspar Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon on Friday from 2 until 8 p.m., where a Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Henry County Hospice.
