An attempt by juveniles to remain incognito ended up backfiring, an Archbold police report indicates.
Officers were notified about 7:45 am, Wednesday, June 8, that there were two suspicious persons sitting in a blue car in the parking lot of the Archbold United Methodist Church.
They were wearing bandanas over their faces and heads.
An officer talked to the occupants.
“I found that the subjects were trying to hide from the passenger’s girlfriend’s mother, as she (the mother) did not want them around when she wasn’t home,” the officer wrote in his report.
The officer said he told the boys “that wearing what they had on had drawn more attention to them, rather than the opposite.”
They were not taken into custody, and no charges were filed.
