Arrest Juvenile After Pettisville School Incident

A 16-year-old Wauseon boy was arrested and taken to the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training, and Rehabilitation Center after he was allegedly involved in an assault at the Pettisville School, Friday, April 11.

Tracey Zuver, Fulton County Sheriff Department sergeant, said Monday the boy was charged after the victim, a 14- year-old Pettisville girl, complained about the incident.

Zuver said the incident allegedly occurred at the end of the school day, when the boy allegedly grabbed the girl’s books. When she tried to retrieve them, he grabbed her, and pushed her against a wall.

She suffered bruises and scrapes, but did not require medical treatment.

Zuver said Pettisville Local School District officials are aware of the incident, and are dealing with it as well.

The boy is charged with juvenile delinquency by way of assault, Zuver said.
