Area Graduates Receive Awards

Several Archbold and Pettisville graduates received awards at the Bluffton University annual Academic Awards and Honors Forum, Tuesday, April 22.

Beth Liechty, daughter of Allen and Virginia, Archbold, was inducted into the Pi Delta Society and received the Wall Street Journal award. A senior, she is majoring in business administration. She is an AHS graduate.

Pi Delta Society is an honorary scholastic society that promotes high standards of scholarship and campus citizenship. Graduating seniors, elected by vote of the faculty, must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.75.

Meghan Mosier, daughter of Brad and Chris, Wauseon, was inducted into the Pi Delta Society and was recognized as a graduating member of the Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society.

A senior, she is majoring in early childhood education. She is a PHS graduate.

Lydia Nofziger, daughter of Ross and Jo, Archbold, was awarded the John D. Unrah award for her paper titled, “God’s Justice through the Coming Messenger of the Covenant: Depictions in Malachi 3:1-4.”

A junior, she is majoring in social work. She is an AHS graduate.

Lane Stopher, son of Bret and Wanda, Archbold, was named Distinguished Scholar in Sociology. A senior, he is majoring in sociology. He is an AHS graduate.
