William Nofziger will play Aladdin and Erin Reichert will be Princess Jasmine in the Archbold Community Theatre performance of “Aladdin Jr.” at Giffey Hall in Ridgeville Corners.
Both actors are from Archbold.
The play for younger actors is adapted from the 1992 hit animated movie, “Aladdin.”
The show is set in the fictional middle-eastern city of Agrabah, “where every beggar has a story, and every camel has a tail!”
Milo McRobbie, Bryan, plays the role of the Genie. Duncan Comstock, Holgate, plays Jafar, and Autumn Owens, Bryan, plays Jafar’s sidekick, Iago.
Josiah Ruiz is the Sultan and Andrew Francis plays Razoul. Both are from Archbold.
Kate Nofziger and Riah Short, both of Archbold; Leah Pitman, Bryan; Brianne Young, Montpelier, and Kaitlyn Wiemken, Napoleon, are the narrators.
Claire Flanagan, Napoleon, is the magic carpet.
Others cast in the roles of townspeople, harem girls, princes, and guards are Chris Foor, Isabella Francis, Megdalyn Mello, Rebekah Rosales, Isabella Ruiz, Ella Throne, Dana Voll, Elizabeth Whiteman, and Lydia Whiteman, Archbold; Elizabeth Myers and Samuel Myers, Wauseon; Josie Petersen, Stryker; Cory Yosick, Bryan; and Arielle Young, Montpelier.
Teresa Van Sickle, Sommer Mello, and Donna Kinsman, Archbold, direct. Hayley Babcock, Liberty Center, is the choreographer, and Bill Phelps, Archbold, leads set construction.
ACT presents “Aladdin Jr.,” Saturday, Sept. 27, and Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3- 4, at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, Sept. 28, and Oct. 5 at 2:30 pm.
