The U14 Archbold Blue Streak soccer team traveled to Millbury, Saturday, Oct. 6 to take on the ESSL Arsenal. The Streaks were looking to avenge an earlier 1-0 loss on a very hot afternoon. ESSL scored first, but Archbold came right back and scored on a Lauren Kindinger assist to Mindy Rupp. The first half ended in a 1-1 tie. The second half was physical, but the heat wore down the Streaks and they lost 3-1.

The Swanton Bulldogs came to Spengler Field, Monday, Oct. 8 for a game under the lights. Swanton scored first but Archbold came back on a long shot by Jesse Fidler that bounced over the goalie’s head. The second half saw the Streaks continuing their attack on goal with Mindy Rupp scoring. The Streaks went on to win 2-1.

Megan Arend had six saves in the second half, and the Blue Streak defense of Carley Wyse, Kassidy Garrow, Meggie Yoder, Fidler and Cassidy Wyse shut down the Bulldogs.
