The Archbold Area School Board took several personnel actions during its Monday, May 20 meeting.
Two contracts were approved for Lorinda Brader as the school district technology director.
The first contract covers the period of May 30 to July 31, for a maximum of 20 days.
The second contract covers the 2013-14 school year.
Brader has been technology assistant to technology director Brent Gnagey. His retirement, effective at the end of the school year, was announced in January.
A one-year contract was approved for Christina Gasser.
She will be the family and consumer science teacher.
A one-year contract also was approved for Beth Voll as the band director for the 2013-14 school year.
A supplemental contract was approved for Kevin K. Miller as the Archbold Middle School student council advisor for the 2013-14 school year.
Deb Zimmerman and Missy Warncke were approved as classified substitutes. Both positions were effective May 23.
The board also accepted the retirement resignation of Jacalyn Ripke, a bus driver.
Ripke’s retirement is effective May 31.
The school board met in executive session for about an hour and 10 minutes during the meeting.
Stated purpose for the closed-door session was “to discuss the employment, compensation, promotion, or demotion of public employees.”
The board took no action when it returned to regular session.
All board members were present.
The next meeting is Monday, June 17, 5:30 pm, in the Archbold High School media center.
