The Archbold Area School Board met in executive session for about 20 minutes during its Monday, March 19 meeting.
Stated reason for the closed-door session was to discuss the employment, appointment, and/or compensation of public employees.
No action resulted when the board returned to regular session.
The board did take three personnel actions.
A certified contract was approved for Stefanie Hoffman as middle school reading and intervention specialist for the 2012-13 school year.
Deskins said a teacher who retired will not be replaced. Instead, Hoffman will work halftime as the reading and intervention specialist, then will spend the other half of her time in reading and language arts.
The board also accepted the resignation of Shannon Sorosiak-Simon, school psychologist, at the end of the current school year.
Also approved by the board was a salary adjustment for Kevin L. Miller, for reaching the next level on the school district schedule. He has reached the master’s degree, plus 30 hours instruction level.
