Archbold traveled to Evergreen, Tuesday, Sept.18, to run a tri-meet with Patrick Henry and the Vikings.
PH won the boys event with a score of 30 points, followed by Archbold, 47. Evergreen had 51.
Evergreen won the girls race with 21 points followed by Archbold, 38. PH didn’t have enough runners to score.
Boys
The first Archbold runner to cross the finish line was Brian Grime. He was second in 19:28.
Michael Volkman was 7th in 20:24, followed by Colin Shannon, 9th, 20:50; Justin Storrer, 10th, 20:59; Tyler Short, 11th, 21:59.
Jacob Gobrogge was 18th in 23:50.
Evergreen’s Ben Mack won in 19:18.
Girls
The first Archbold runner to finish was Katrina Gobrogge. She was 2nd in 23:18.
Jackie Bell was 5th in 25:28; Laura Bowman, 10th, 26:45; Aleah Lambright, 11th, 26:51; Rahel Frie, 16th, 29:35.
“We used the tri-meet as a work meet,” said Mike Wachtmann, coach. “The team is used to running morning practices, not in the afternoon, so they did well in this afternoon meet.”
