Archbold Residents Indicted For Alleged Thefts By Grand Jury




Two Archbold residents were among 16 persons indicted by the Fulton County Grand Jury.

The grand jury met Monday, Oct. 15, and handed down indictments.

Chad A. Newman, 24, Archbold, was indicted on a single count of grand theft, and six counts of forgery.

A press release from Roger D. Nagel, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said Newman allegedly stole $5,000 in cash, and forged checks belonging to two persons. The offenses allegedly occurred between Aug. 20 and Sept. 22.

Gilberto Villarreal, Jr., 22, Archbold, was indicted on a count of burglary, and one count theft. Allegedly on Aug. 31, he broke into an occupied structure and stole $5,000.

Others indicted:

•Donald L. Heising, Sr., 40, Wauseon; indicted on one count each: aggravated robbery, robbery, having weapons while under disability, carrying concealed weapons, and theft of drugs; allegedly on Oct. 13, Heising robbed a Wauseon Pharmacy to steal drugs; indictment contains specification he had a firearm in his possession while committing the crimes.

•Timothy S. Rhodes, 34, Delta; indicted on one count assault, one count domestic violence; allegedly on Sept. 28, caused or attempted to cause physical harm to another, and to a family or household member.

•Terry J. Miller, 37, Delta; indicted on one count domestic violence; allegedly on Sept. 28, caused physical harm to a family or household member; indictments contains specification that Miller has two previous domestic violence convictions, in 2002 and 2004, in Fulton County Court, Eastern District.

•Terry White, 33, Swanton; indicted on one count felonious assault; allegedly on Sept. 27, caused serious physical harm to another.

•John J. Stanley, 21, Swanton; indicted on one count each: possessing criminal tools, trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, illegal cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia; allegedly on June 6, he prepared to ship, transport, deliver, prepare for distribution, or distribute marijuana; was allegedly illegally cultivating marijuana.

•Matthew L. Randolph, 30, Wauseon, indicted on one count trafficking in cocaine; allegedly on July 5, sold cocaine to a confidential informant, while in the vicinity of a juvenile.

•Jamie D. Rivera, 24, Wauseon; indicted on one count trafficking in cocaine; allegedly on June 29, sold cocaine to a confidential informant.

•Romauldo Melchor Cordoba, 30, Fayette; indicted on one count each: possession of drugs, failure to provide change of address; allegedly, on Sept. 19, he was in possession of methamphetamine; allegedly failed to provide notice of a change of address as required by the terms of his registration for a sexual-oriented offense.

•Melinda Villarreal, 24, Fayette; indicted on one count possession of drugs, one count obstructing justice; allegedly on Sept. 19, she was in possession of methamphetamine; allegedly was harboring Romauldo Melchor Cordoba with purpose to hinder his discovery, apprehension, prosecution, conviction or punishment.

•Clifford A. Leu, 22, Swanton; indicted on one count each: identity fraud, forgery, tampering with records; allegedly on March 18, 2005, used the identifying information of another person with the intent to hold himself out to be the other person.

•David L. Smith, 36, Wauseon; indicted on grand theft by deception, two counts tampering with records; allegedly between July 23, 2006 and Jan. 14, 2007, Smith obtained more than $5,000 in unemployment benefits by deception; when asked if he worked during the week claimed, he answered that he did not, when in fact he did work.

•Leticia Macias, 18, West Unity; indicted on two counts theft, one count forgery, one count identity fraud; allegedly, on Aug. 8, she stole a wallet with credit and debit cards, and blank checks, then forged the checks by using the personal identifying information of another person.

•Earl L. Hartman, 34, Wauseon; indicted on two counts of driving while intoxicated; allegedly on Sept. 23, operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol; indictment contains specification alleging Hartman has three prior DUI convictions within the last six years.

•Jacob Ricker, 35, Winder, Ga.; indicted on one count, nonsupport of dependents; allegedly between April 10 and Oct. 10, failed to pay child support; accumulated an arrearage of more than $2,333; indictment contains specification alleging Ricker was previously convicted of nonsupport of dependents in May 2006 in Fulton County Common Please Court.
