Samantha J. Poling, 22, and Johnathon R. Gaines, 29, both of Archbold, were indicted by the Fulton County Grand Jury during its Monday, Oct. 15 session.
Poling was indicted on one count of trespass in a habitation when a person is present, or likely to be present.
A press release from Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, states on or about Tuesday, Sept. 25, Poling allegedly trespassed in a Pettisville residence.
Gaines was indicted on a count of receiving stolen property.
On or about Aug. 9 to Sept. 18, Gaines allegedly received or retained a vehicle that he knew, or had reasonable cause to believe, was stolen.
Indictments were handed down against nine other individuals:
•Chris L. Bowers, 37, Pioneer; indicted on one count, theft from an elderly person or disabled adult; on or about Feb. 24 to Oct. 15, allegedly stole an amount of cash between $1,000 and $7,500.
•Daniel P. Carmel, 27, Wellington, Fla.; indicted on two counts each, theft, theft from an elderly person or disabled adult, and one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity; on or about Sept. 21, allegedly stole property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500 from an elderly person; allegedly participated in an enterprise through a pattern of corrupt activity.
•Patricia R. Knapp, 45, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, theft, tampering with records; on or about July 17, 2011 to Oct. 23, 2011, allegedly obtained by deception unemployment compensation benefits valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500; also allegedly tampered with records belonging to a government agency.
•Amber Shindler, 21, Wauseon; indicted on one count, trafficking in drugs; on or about Sept. 30, allegedly sold or offered to sell the drug Suboxone in the vicinity of a juvenile; Suboxone is used to treat patients who are dependent on a certain class of drugs.
•Christopher D. Slone, 24, Delta; indicted on one count, failure to provide notice of change of address; on or about March 19 to Oct. 15, failed to notify county sheriff of change in his address; Slone is listed on eSORN, the Ohio Electronic Sex Offender Registration and Notification system, as having been convicted of importuning, which is described as soliciting a person under 13 years or up to 17 years of age under certain circumstances, to engage in sexual activity with the offender. Slone is classified as a sexually-oriented offender who must register his address with the county sheriff once a year for 10 years.
•Lucille C. Soroka, 47, Wauseon; indicted on one count, domestic violence; on or about Sept. 28 to Sept. 29, allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member.
•Jacob R. Taylor, 33, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, grand theft, tampering with records; on or about Dec. 6, 2009 to Aug. 29, 2010, allegedly obtained by deception unemployment compensation benefits valued between $7,500 and $150,000; also allegedly tampered with records belonging to a governmental entity.
•Linh Tran, 33, Toledo; indicted on one count each, attempted burglary, possessing criminal tools; on or about Monday, Oct. 8, allegedly attempted to trespass in an occupied structure with purpose to commit a criminal offense.
•John P. Weber, 53, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, theft and failure to remit sales tax; on or about Jan. 1, 2008 to Dec. 31, 2011, he allegedly stole currency in an amount between $7,500 and $150,000; also allegedly failed to make and file a tax return, and allegedly failed to pay the tax due on that tax return.
