Archbold Rescue Responds To Nov. 23 Shooting

ALS-1, the Archbold-based paramedic unit, and the Archbold Rescue squad were dispatched to a shooting incident at Barry Cline Roofing, 6990 St. Rt. 66, about 9:47 pm, Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23.

Aaron Gladieux, a detective with the Fulton County Sheriff Department, said deputies were dispatched to the address two minutes earlier, at 9:45 pm.

ALS-1 and Archbold Rescue were advised to stage about a mile away until the scene was under control.

Gladieux said once deputies arrived they located a male subject, who suffered what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Two handguns were located.

There was no sign of foul play, he said.

Rick Yoder, an Archbold physician and Fulton County coroner, pronounced the subject dead at the scene.

Archbold Rescue transported the body to the Fulton County Health Center morgue.

The name of the deceased was not released, pending notification of family, Gladieux said.

The incident is under investigation.
