Sept. 23

4:29 pm: Vehicle vandalism, 100 West Barre Rd.

5:57 pm: Trespassing, 57 Hawthorn Dr.

Sept. 24

2:20 pm: A pickup truck, pulling a trailer driven by Don E. Ford, 68, rural Fayette, was driving through the Farmers & Merchants State Bank (N. Defi- ance St.) parking lot, when the trailer struck a parked vehicle owned by Phyllis K. Munday, Archbold. Ford reported he did not hear a witness advising him of the mishap and continued on.

4:14 pm: Citation to Eli Rupp, 17, rural Fayette, speeding, 700 block E. Lutz Rd.

Sept. 25

9:27 am: Pumped gasoline at Friendship Food Mart and drove off without paying; subject returned and paid.

11:55 pm: Pumped gasoline at Friendship Food Mart and drove off without paying.

3:05 pm: A pickup truck owned by Terry A. Kovar, rural Fayette, was parking in the parking lot between Sauder Woodworking Brush Creek and Meyers Road plants. A car driven by Lauren A. Jones, 20, Bryan, was pulling out of a parking place next to the pickup, and struck it as she was leaving. She left the scene, then later reported the accident at the Archbold Police Station.

3:25 pm: A van driven by Joseph Frank, 46, Archbold, was traveling north on S. Defiance St. and was stopped in traffic about 121 feet south of E. Beech St. Following the van was a car driven by Trevor L. Sly, 20, Archbold. The two vehicles collided. Frank was taken to the Fulton County Health Center by Archbold Rescue; condition report unavailable. Sly was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance.

Sept. 26

1:03 pm: Pumped gasoline at Friendship Food Mart and drove off without paying.

5:45 pm: A van driven by Christina Rupp, 48, rural Archbold, was traveling south on S. Defiance Street at Schlatter St., when her vehicle was struck by a mini-pickup truck driven by Carrie L. Figy, 21, Archbold. Figy reported her brakes failed. Archbold Rescue transported Figy to Archbold Hospital, where she was treated and released. She was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way and disobeying a stop sign.

Sept. 27

7:10 am: Pumped gasoline at Friendship Food Mart and drove off without paying; made contact with subject, who later paid.

8:28 am: Bill Barnhart, Archbold, reported someone pulled plywood off an old window cover at the Archbold Laundromat; possibly related to damage to back doors, done earlier.

1 pm: Complaint of cats getting into trash, killing birds; 300 block Ditto St, spoke to owner of cats.

1:47 pm: Loud music, 100 block S. Lincoln Street, spoke to three individuals, advised of problem.

3:32 pm: Citation to Amy Jo Gaskill, 29, Defiance, speeding, 100 block Nolan Prky.

Sept. 28

4:32 am: Traffic stop, verbal warning driving with one headlight, citation issued to Donald W. Dennis, 50, Fayette, for driving while under suspension, 100 block S. Lincoln St.

9:03 am: Damaged fire hydrant, 100 block S. Lincoln St.

8:28 pm: Skateboarding, 500 block Jackson St., advised not to trespass.

10:41 pm: Breaking and entering, East Gardens, report unfounded.

Sept. 29

4:09 pm: Vandalism, Archbold Villas.

9:40 pm: Juveniles harassing female Subway employee over intercom; spoke to juveniles and parents.

(Note: During the preceding week, Archbold Police officers gave verbal warnings for no headlights, no taillights, driving with one headlight, speeding, failure to drive in marked lanes, improper lane, and a stopped commercial vehicle in the roadway.)
