Sept. 16

6:31 pm: Possible burglary, Jane Ct., conflicting statements from parties involved, no charges filed.

Sept. 17

Sept. 18

8 am: Possible Internet fraud.

11:33 am: Theft of cell phone, Fypon parking lot.

3:19 pm: Citation to Tyler L. Short, 17, rural Archbold, speeding, 600 block Lafayette St.

4:55 pm: Traffic crash, with injuries, Co. Rd. 24 at Stryker St.

9 pm: Identity theft.

Sept. 19

10:30 am: Report of subject on bicycle, St. Rt. 2, stopping motorists, asking them to call police. Could not locate.

Sept. 20

8:30 am: Disabled vehicle, S. Defiance St. at West Barre Rd., subject waiting for tow truck.

9:45 am: Vehicle passed stopped school bus, 1400 block S. Defiance Street, unable to locate vehicle.

1:19 pm: Disabled vehicle, 100 block Clyde’s Way.

6:33 pm: Complaint of noise from Spengler Field; spoke to coaches.

8:18 pm: Six-year-old girl trying to ride tricycle across S. Defiance St.; transported girl to residence, and spoke to her father.

Sept. 21

4:30 pm: Vandalism to vehicle, SuperValu parking lot.

4:57 pm: Citation issued to Michael Schooner, 40 Whitehouse, for disobeying stop sign, Ditto St. at Walnut St.

9:28 pm: Complaint of loud bass, 400 block S. Defiance St., advised subject to turn it down.

Sept. 22

2:21 am: Dog loose, Westfield Medical Center, returned dog to owner.

7:57 am: Ed Yoder, 504 Short-Buehrer Rd., mailbox damaged sometime after 6 pm the preceding day.

11:43 am: A minivan, driven by Rachel R. Roth, 72, Archbold, was traveling south on S. Defiance St., stopped for the traffic signal at Lafayette St. intersection. A sport-utility vehicle, driven by Veronica Paige Vogelsong, 18, Archbold, was stopped behind the Roth van. When the light turned green, the two vehicles collided. Vogelsong was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

(Note: During the preceding week, Archbold Police officers gave verbal warnings for parking violation, speeding, failure to drive in marked lanes, disobeying traffic signals, disobeying stop sign, and expired registration.)
